Same format as in previous years, only TOG has bowed out from DFVing
and left Cab and I holding the baby. Dates are the early May Bank
Holiday - out Friday 29th April, back Sunday 1st May.

The venue will be the Normotel La Marine, Caudebec en Caux.
    http://www.normotel-lamarine.fr/
We've been there before. It's a very nice hotel, on the banks of the
Seine. Caudebec is a pretty village, about 150 miles from Calais - so
a nice run down. There's plenty to do in the area, with Honfleur about
30 miles to the west and Rouen a little closer to the east - plus some
    nice biking roads.

Costs. It's going to work out around £140 a head for two people
sharing a bike and room, £160 a head sharing a room but two bikes, and
£215 single room and bike. These may vary a bit, not least as the
exchange rate varies. That gets you 2 nights half-board plus return
    ferry Dover-Calais (11:50 a.m. out, 4:00 p.m. back). Drinks are extra,
and everyone will be responsible for settling their own bar bills
    before departure.

As TOG used to say, this is not an organised tour, nor is it any sort
of profit-making venture. We're simply making hotel and ferry bookings
for anyone that wants to join us.

Anyone and everyone is welcome. To any newbies, the French Runs are
fun, and they're there to be used exactly as you wish. Some people
ride down together, others just make their own way down. TOG once
accurately likened the scene on leaving the ferry at Calais to the Red
Arrows' starburst. The two dinners will be set three-course menus at
set times (we'll arrange veggie etc options with prior notice),
boozing will be up to you - ditto the hangovers, which may well
dictate what you get up to on the Saturday and Sunday.

The hotel wants deposits by 31st December, by which date I also need
to book the ferries, so with intervening holidays on my part we need
to get cracking. As usual it'll be first come, first served. Emails to
    .

By all means reply to this post, but if you want to come you need to
email me. I'll then send you a nice form to fill in with your details,
plus how much you'll owe and how to pay.

    Over to you.

Can you try to rephrase that in terms that TOG might understand?

  10. And if he wins the raffle for the extra free place [1] then you'll all
shout "rigged" and demand a re-draw.

[1] assuming enough people go and the tradition is maintained.

Gorrit. You sent it to my spamcop address, so it was held up in the
    grey list.

No he didn't. You volunteered. The next day. In a cafe in the middle
of Epernay. In front of witnesses.
