The forms requesting deposits have now been sent out, by email. If you
were expecting to receive one but haven't, please let me know.

FWIW the hotel is now full, so if you wanted to come and haven't let
me know yet, you'll need to go on the waiting list!

Be careful on the autoroutes, I heard they time people between péage
gates and do you for speeding?

    [reality swerve]

who have you booked with? I have the option of a weekend in Normandy in
Sept with the UKGSer mob. LDLines overnight job seems a reasonable price
and I'd get to have a curry with the sprog pre-embarkation as he lives
    in Havant.

  12. No one yet.... will probably do Portsmouth to Cherbourg with Britanny
(they offer a fast cat - 3hrs), and spend a couple of days wandering
along the Normandy Coastline taking in the beaches and other
historically noteable stuff via a couple of B&B's/Small Hotels.

Have a word with Wilson of this parish as he does the Portsmouth -
Caen route rather frequently, I've used it a few times, but not the
    overnight service.

Don't run out of fuel on the autoroute either as the police don't like
    it too much.

I have fairly recently. Like me, he prefers BF but their prices are much
like Ryanair & Easyjet. Depending on unfathomable variables you might get a
cheap ticket or be royally fleeced.

Annoyingly, BF don't have the 11am departure from Poole now. It's 7am or
3pm. Former means an overnight in Poole, latter means getting into France
too late. Hence LDLines with a cabin works out as convenient and in the
same price bracket as a day crossing with BF.

But the return leg is on a Sunday. You CAN'T buy petrol in France on a
    Sunday!
