Madam's decided that as were stopping "near" Orleans (where we
normally break our journey to Baigts) we might as well pop in to see
    her sister.

Then we can ride home Tuesday and go to work Wednesday.

    So that's:

    342 miles Friday
    415 miles Sunday
    749 miles Tuesday.

    Should be fun

As with many of these trips, the problem is that with the extra 215
miles each way makes it a long trip for such a short stay, and this
one's a fair way inland as I recall, so I just decided I'd miss it and
put the money towards having a week somewhere on the bike instead.

I might do Chimay or something though.

Who are you going to delegate the "knocking the beer over" duties to?

    Pfah. I've sailed worse.

Much worse. On one trip in the Indian ocean, for about a day we were
averaging something like 40 degree rolls. Each side. The maximum was
an arc of over 90 degrees, over maybe ten seconds or so. It sent a
beer keg flying across the wardroom, narrowly missing a couple of
    die-hard drinkers.

I'm not going, either, but I guess there will be less "boo" and more
    "TFFT"...

Reasons are much the same as Ginge.

No - it's a picture of him leaning over the side of the ship.

Stay near to the ferry the night before and the day you return. Easy.

We're calling in on friends who live in Le Bec-Hellouin for brunch on
the Friday. We're happy to ride with you as far as that, depending on
how roundabout a route you want to take to Pithiviers!
