Why the **** would you need sat-nav to get from Cricklewood to Dieppe
and back? You were a motorcycle courier for how many years without a
sat-nav, what has changed that makes you need one now?

Seems to me that as soon as you buy a sat-nav you have to donate your
    brain to science immediately.

  6. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Lozzo belched forth and ejected the following:
That I don't have a problem with but getting from the terminal in France
    to the hotel I do.
I'm not a courier any more and I don't speak French.

You want to make sure you don't buy one then. It would be a bit like
having two insurance policies for the same risk and I am not sure it
    would be allowed.

Eh? A sudden irrational desire to ride Guzzi semi-automatic tourers?

I hadn't got a fucking clue where I was going so I had An Adventure and
followed SD who claimed he had. I figured that except for out and out
top speed he was never going to lose me. Mind you I hadn't seen him
filtering his 'wing through 15 miles of not quite standing traffic on
the M25 back then and wouldn't have been quite as confident if I had
    done so.

I sent my renewal off a two weeks ago tomorrow and a last a week ago
yesterday I got a letter back from them whinging about the
professional photos I enclosed so they're pretty swift at the moment.
I assume a renewal is a lot swifter than a first application.

Maybe. Certainly, behaviour like that can hardly be described as
    rational can it?

Getting lost is half the fun of riding abroad.
You don't need to, that's the other half of the fun of riding abroad. If
you have to get straight to your destination and don't want to practise
your French then you may as well stay in UK.

Keep the sea on your right, and you can't miss it.
