FIAT Multipla 1.9 diesel SX JTD. Needs new front wing, not an MOT
failure, needs replacement indicater (MOT failure).
Free to collector... The car that brought a new meaning to Italian
styling... Free bottle of correction fluid thinners and optional
carrier bags (all main superstores represented) to the lucky
recipiant... (possibly doubling the value of this iconic classic)...

My insurance runs out at 12 noon, at which point I shall hand over
the keys to the scrap yard, unless someone else has it insured by
then. It runs fine, returns 45-50 mpg, rear 3 seats clunk out for use
as a van, has never broken down, tyres all ok, cheap motoring from a
free vehicle. If you unbolt one of the passenger seats theres enough
room for a 6-footer to kip down on kip-mat and sleeping bag. Has
toured Scotland, the Mosel, Belgium, Holland, Germany all without a
    hiccup...
Remember, it comes with a free part-used bottle of correction-fluid
thinners and an optional selection of supermarket carrier-bags.
    Whats not to like?

    Scrap value? You'd be surprised

I got £190 for my BMW520 two weeks ago

even a fiat must be worth a ton

Scrap prices are high at the moment, I dumped 2 Superdream frames and
half an engine off at the local scrappy yesterday. Pleasantly
surprised when the guy gave me 14 quid.

What Geoff said Owen. It's a minimum 200 squids for something that
size/weight. Get it to a scrapper and pocket a few readies.

£200, maybe, to scrap a perfectly good runner? That doesnt make sense
to me... Ive passed it on to someone who will get some benefit from
it, itll help him and when hes done with it he'll hopefully pass it on
to someone else... To me that has a greater value. Then again, Im in
the very fortunate position of not having to worry about £200. There
was a time when I did have to worry about such an amount... I drove a
car that I was given for nothing by someone on UKRM, it even came with
half a tank of fuel and when it died, it limped into the scrapyard
where I was given £25. I figure Im passing the favour/goodwill on...
    Good karma man...

Actually, scrap prices are falling from an all-time high in January.
'Light Iron' which is cars and other general steel scrap was £209 in
Jan, now down to £160/tonne. Still higher than it was 18 months ago.

    Perfectly good running order 520i

However, I wasn't renewing the insurance and would cost me more to
terminate the insurance than I would have received back

If I had sold it and there had been an accident , there could have been
    repercussions regarding my NCD

    how crazy is that ?

I don't understand that. If you've sold it, you're no longer responsible for
what happens to/with it, so how can your insurance NCB be affected? The new
owner can't drive it on your policy and if you've not given permission for
anyone else to drive it, you're again not responsible for anything that
    happens.
