    Hello all.

I have recently purchased an Oxford Huff "Essential In-Helmet Breath
Deflector" but I can't get it to fit in either of my helmets properly
    - my nose is too big.

I've 'used' it for about 10 minutes in total and I'm not going to take
it back as it's now been used and it's not actually faulty. Cost me
    something like £11.95 today.

    It's the silver one: http://www.quasimoto.hu/images/oxford/OF936.jpg

Free to good home, first peep to email me gets it.

I use a Tube. Trouble is there is only one manufacturer who does the
right one in a non-stick-to-your-lips stretchy cotton that works
effectively in both summer and winter and I will be buggered if I can
remember who it is. You can't buy them at HG I do know that, I think
and I am confident of a few other outlets round here who don't sell them
either. I know this because I lost my last one a couple of weeks ago in
Chelmsford and motorcycling just hadn't been the same since despite, my
going into every bike shoppe that I pass on my travels and criticising
    their stock.

Sounds like you have a good case for some Rhinoplasty on the NHS.

I think that was meant to go by email.

    Ooops.

I've done it before now, too.

How does this "tube" work? I can't find it listed anywhere on google,
but I'm not sure which term I should be aiming for.

In it's simplest form it is a simple knitted cylinder what goes over yer
gob and yer neck and under yer chin strap.

More complicated, expensive and totally unnecessary ones include a bib.

Neoprene ones are said to be dead good in subzero temperatures,

Busters have some Buff stuff @
    http://www.busters-accessories.co.uk/products.asp?id=309 (Need to
refresh it to plant a cookie) is that the kind of thing you're looking
for? They look like glorified a scalf to me, tbh.

I've got various neck warmer things that included a "tube" design (RIP
on A20 old knitted-style one) but I don't recall them redistributing
breath moisture anywhere apart from upwards, on to my glasses.

Yes they are and extremely overpriced for one as well.

I ride with it in my mouth, a sort of surrogate nipple thing I suppose.

The good ones are a stretch fit over your face just like the bottom half
of a balaclava. The poor ones are utter fucking shite.

Looking at the website I think I'm going to buy one/some, there's so
    much variety.

    <http://www.buffwear.co.uk/display_prod.php?id=415&catg=original> <--
I can imagine you wearing that.

    I might get this one
    <http://www.buffwear.co.uk/display_prod.php?id=116&catg=original> or
    this one
    <http://www.buffwear.co.uk/display_prod.php?id=697&catg=original> or
    this one
    <http://www.buffwear.co.uk/display_prod.php?id=492&catg=original>
although some of the National Geographic themed ones are great also.

Damn you Auvache & Chris Reece for introducing me to such lovely items
    of headwear!

There's a movie on the USA website showing what wonderful things you
    can do with one.
