Right, if anybody is interested a filthy lurker of my acquaintance has asked
    if anybody is interested in:

2 x 14" EGA monitors, in good nick and probably working.

1 x Video Seven ISA card.

1 x Oak Tech. ISA card.

The stuff is in Newcastle and is free to anybody who'll collect it.

Anybody who is jumping in their car right now, sweating with excitement, can
also feel free to swing by my place and pick up a 14" IBM PS/2 VGA monitor.

If you know of anybody who'd like any of this stuff then, when they get back
from their scrounging at the tip, just tell them to post here to bags it.

    Cheers.

THE SAME TIME. You just mark my words.

Look, it's not my kit, right.

Mine's the VGA monitor, which can't be much more than 20 years old.

    lines of:
I'd offer a load of 4Gb and 9Gb SCSI disks, RISC and CISC CPU's and
momeory boards, 150Mb tape drives, Stratus 7100 processors, Stratus
V013 monitors and keyboards and some old DRA DLT tape drives, but I
don't think anyone will be interested.

I've kept hold of an old HP Netserver for myself though...

These may be just what we need for a piece of kit at work. The only
    problem is getting them.

Is anyone in the UKRM "pass the parcel" chain passing by that way and
coming to near North London (Barnet)?? Usual beer tokens in exchange.

Or failing that, I'll ask the powers that be how much they are willing
to gamble on postage costs in the hope they will do the job.....

Bear bored us all completely to death with wittery prose along the
    lines of:
There's been talk of restructuring for bloody ages and it's supposed to
be announced next week. I should be okay, but one never knows.

TBH, if it happens, I'm not too concerned, as :

    1. Any package I get should be fairly decent
    2. The French social security system is the dogs nads for dole payments
    3. I've got to that level in the company, that I have enough in the way
of contacts to find something fairly easily (IMO, of course)

Figures of up to 30% redundancies have been talked about.

All "radio carpet" as the French say though. Nothing at all may happen,
but then again, pigs may fly.
