Before I take them down the tip:

Free for anyone who can collect in Milton Keynes before the end of next
    week:

2xSGI Personal Iris, complete with one spare logic board.
    1xSun Sparc 330

Also have 2x very heavy old SCSI drive enclosures.

How big are these? I might make a case mod or turn them into a pair of geeky
    cupboards.

Heh, I just removed an IPX motherboard from a Sun 'shoebox' case and
started a conversion with a small ATX power supply in the hard drive bay
and a mini ATX Mobo in the bottom. Don't ask why, I'm just a masochist I
guess. I even acquired an LS120 superdrive so I can auto-eject floppies
    under linux on i386.

Have a look at this for a comparative system:

Anyone got any bright ideas about pci risers?

Why don't you get a new one from PC world?

Well a new PC, rather than mess about with the old one. They usually
come pre installed with XP and MS Works. Pretty good VFM.

    Innit?

I want to squeeze in a micro-ATX rather than mini-ITX Mobo, but it's very
tight for height under the power supply.

You should be able to run the FW interfaces over a virtual if they only
    have one NIC.
