  5. Can I suggest that on the way back, at least, we have one bloody decent
foody boozey night in a hotel?

  6. Heh. I bought mine for ukp235. New mudguards, another ukp130. New
exhausts, another 70. New chain, a tenner. New back tyre[1], another
    ukp20.

Offset that by the 30 quid I got for the old front guard and cans....
    it's still close.

Reckon the carb is spot on, now. It starts first touch of the button.
Sounds rorty with the pattern cans, too. It'l blow yours, and darsy's,
    into the weeds.

[1] Something called a Deli, made in Indonesia, was 19 quid at Kempton
Park. A Cheng Shin was ukp24. Then I found a bloke flogging, would you
believe, Metzeler Perfects for ukp20. OK, so it's a 2.75 section not a
    3.00 section, but wtf.

As you'll reach Frankfurt first, you can get the beers in!

    Seconded.

We'll have a little think about a route, then maybe you can have a
    little think about somewhere appropriate.

I'm maybe being kinda think here, but aren't we going to stay in
Frankfurt for a "foody boozey night in a decent hotel"?

Or do you mean you're too much of a wuss to do the run back to Calais
    in a single stretch?

    On Sat, 15 Nov 2003 17:26:36 +0000,
my starts first kick every kick, and first touch of the button when
it's warm. It is rather slow, mind you, and I'm fairly sure the carb
is no-where near "spot on". Still, it goes, and that's the main thing.

Having said that, depending on when this run turns out to be, I might
just have swapped the CD for something a leetle faster...

Mine starts on the button when it's cold, but when it's warm (or even
warm-ish) just makes a whirring noise.

I read it that we would stay in some kind of pike-hole in Frankfurt.

Is quite quaint. If anyone wants to know, I'll explain how to book a
    room :)

good show. If the weather's good, I'll pop up on the CD - a good
medium-distance blat will do it good.

that's odd. I think mind won't start on the electric foot when it's
cold because it's the 6v model, and it just doesn't have the oomph.

But really, it's a piece of piss to kickstart - though I confused
myself a few times when I realised you *can't* start it with the
    clutch held in.

I on the other hand assumed that, as you were involved, we'd stay
    somewhere 1/2 decent.

On the other hand, on the first night, we'll all be shagged out, so
    any pit would probably do...
