Frank Thomas Strike vs. Belstaff Turbo jackets?

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Steve Uzochukwu, Aug 30, 2004.

  1. Have Frank Thomas improved since I was last on the group with Bear
saying just how little he thought of them?

The choice is between these two jackets, both fit well, but the FT has
    a winter insert included.

Anyone got either of these jackets and would like to comment?

Having looked over the pair of them during the course of my work, I'd go
with the Belstaff every time. I know of a bike dealer who kicked all his
FT stock back to the makers when his 15 hour a week part-timer was
spending all her time dealing with the previous week's FT returns.

You only have to look at how big the FT returns and seconds sale is at
the BMF Show to know their products are not very good quality. There's a
joke amongst the bike trade that only 2 things are visible from the moon
with the naked eye. one is the Great Wall of China, the other is the
larger FT marquee at the BMF Show.

Go with the Belstaff, or take a wander round a Hein Gericke shop for
much the same quality of products, but at better prices.

  3. Thanks Lozzo, the FT stuff looks good but I've had boot from them in
the past that were sh*te. I've not been able to find anything in my
local Hein Gericke taht lookseven sensibly priced, but I'll look for a
    larger branch.

Any pointers for stuff in HG range that's about 200 notes or less?

    Cheers!

Try the Voyager 3 or the Gore-Voyager. Both fall within 200 quid. The
Gore-Voyager comes with a 5 year warranty, the Shelltex lined Voyager 3
comes with a 2 year warranty.
