Recently I bought Frank Thomas motorcycle clothing - Gore-Tex Jacket and
a pair of trousers for UKP418.00(UK Pound Sterling) which had 5 years
warranty. Less than 8 months later my jacket frayed badly and my
trousers condition even worse. In the mean time my local motorcycle
shop, from where I bought the garments packed up their business, so I
    went back to Frank Thomas.

I found out that they can not help me much, nor are they willing to.
During the process I also found out that, Frank Thomas sells their
-QUALITY- merchandise to the their dealer/retailer for a fraction of the
suggested retail price and as such passes so called QUALITY garments
    warranty responsibility to the dealer.

After lot of searching and talking, I managed to find out the parent
company of the motorcycle shop, HGB Motorcycles. However, HGB
Motorcycles is only willing to honour clothing value of up to UKP285.00.
Again, I took the case to Frank Thomas and surprisingly they are not
willing to do anything about it... so I end up losing UKP143.00.

Nice experience in buying Frank Thomas clothing.... I had to buy Spada
whilst this fiasco was going on, complete m/c suit for UKP198 with only
one year warranty. So far Spada has continued to out perform where Frank
Thomas failed miserably.... it performed very well in snow and in rain
and too, I am really amazed by its performance.

So readers my little advice is don't buy Frank Thomas motorcycle stuff
if you want any value for money... you pay well over the top for
substandard motorcycle clothing (happened to me twice). You may think
that Frank Thomas will honour their commitments to their customer, but
that is not the case... you are at the mercy of your dealer, their
decision is final and as I found out Frank Thomas shifts the buck when
it comes to facing responsibility for their own faulty products... Frank
Thomas suggested that I seek legal action against their dealers - can
    you believe this...

Good - hopefully you'll make better kit than the previous owners.
    Ah - iswym now.

The last seven words of that sentence are superfluous. The Frank Thomas
Returns Department - one of only two man-made objects visible from
    space.

If you paid on plastic, go back to your credit card company.

  6. Talk to Gore-Tex (Google for their UK office address in Livingston). I
think you might find that news of a faulty product bearing their
illustrious brand name will bring them to your assistance.

As for Frank Thomas; write to their Chief Executive, Peter Laughton,
marking your letter "Private & Personal" and tell him that an
eight-month lifespan is simply not acceptable and you want him to take
    personal charge of your complaint.

You are a fucking retard: proved by the above, by your total absence
of context or attributions, and your non-existent email address.

You buy overpriced, non-performing shite and you expect to be able to
complain about it? You didn't do your research first, did you, little
    boy?

I have been using Heine Gerkin kit for years. Top value and quality.
replaced without question of faulty if u have the receipt (No
    ticket-no replace).
I recently bought a HG Cruise Jacket which is the warmest jacket I
have ever owned although more restrictive than my old Voyager. Got 20%
off too, so at £199 bargain of the century. On the Drafon in Feb,
didnt even need to switch my heatde jacket lkiner on. The 2 finger
Pathan gloves are brill too, but I would buy the cheaper cortdura ones
as the leather ones get soggy when wet (dry hands still, but soggy
    outside)

I had a pair of FT Goretex trousers once, IMHO they were poor. I sold
them, hardly used on ebay. The legs were too short for a start. My
mate swears by FT but he's never had Gerkin kit.
