Hi, I would really appreciate some advice about getting my frame
repaired (if it can be done at all).

I have a gixxer 750 and have had an impact on the front. I've gone and
bent the forks (which have pushed back into the radiator), snapped the
steering lock off the bottom yoke, and on closer inspection of the
head stock have compressed the frame.

The frame is bent on both sides, down by the air intake holes.
Somebody was recently selling a frame on ebay, and the damage is
almost identical to my frame, please see:

I have spoken to one person, he mentioned that the bike gets put in a
jig and it gets manipulated back into place. He mentioned that the
dents by the headstock can be popped out… is this true?

I have pretty much demolished the tank where I hit it with me nads,
now there is about a 10mm gap between the frame/seat and the tank
(there never was one before the crash), and where the fuel tank bolts
into the frame at the top it is another 10mm short.

If I were to get a new tank after the frame is straightened how likely
is it would line up with the mounting points (I guess i'm asking how
    accurate is frame straightening)?

If it is possible to get sorted, can anyone recommend a frame
    repairer?

Thanks in advance, any help is really appreciated.

That is well fucked. It's new frame time. As for your mate saying dents
by the headstock can be "popped out" - he's talking out of his arse.

It all comes down to whether you'd trust the beast ever again with your
    life!

    I know I wouldn't!

Aluminium frame - then no chance to repair impact damage.
Steel frame - so long as the damage isnt too severe, then it is possible
to repair it,though if the tubes are dented/warped out of shape,it cannot
    be reliably fixed.

Bollocks. Stick a bit of steel bar through the headstock, get a mate to
heat it up with a blow-lamp, and pull it around till it looks straight. If
you see any creases or wrinkles in the metal, just dress them flat with a
ball pien hammer. It's an easy fix because aluminium softens at a
relatively low temperature, and the heating and flexing will actually make
    the frame stronger (work hardening).

  11. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember (Chris) saying
    something like:
Nobody is going to straighten that.

    "Fucked, mate."

Thats bollocks.Ally doesnt work harden twice, it just breaks.
What does the blow lamp do then? Ally isnt like ferrous metals, the atomic
bonding is completely different with larger crystals, making it far easier
to break when manipulating it.Even getting it up to 500deg. cent.(it'll
melt at ~630) will not make it safe to bend it - you'll just be breaking
the crystals,so it may look OK on the surface, but it'll have lost a lot
    of strength.
