    Hi all

When I was living in the UK, all Japanese, and most other makes, had
matching frame and engine numbers. That is, the last 5 digits of both were
the same. That way it was easy to spot if a bike wasn't fitted with its
    original engine.

This does not seem to be the case in Australia.

Does anyone know if any bike manufacturer who does this is Aus? Or their
    reasons for not doing it?

It is of no importance at all, but I was curious why they don't do that
    here.

    cheers
    Jack

long story but...it was built for the US market.

Running a production line that matches engine to frame numbers sounds a
    silly pointless idea....

And running a production line that matches numbers for a particular market
    is even more stoopid...
