I was about to say "what's wrong with books", but then looked at the
pic again. Top shelf looks like a bookshop. Very very wrong.

Well, it's a nice neutral colour that others won't object to. Apart
from the curtains. Sofa looks *shagged*.

Oh, and sort the wiring out.
