Saw a few of the races as I turned channels to check on WSBk. Brilliant racing .Wouldn't want to come a gutser though, bugger all safety barriers. But then that's how it is on the road.
Fark; the shit they were doing in the wet with all the spectators and roadside furniture...... Proof that Irish are mad!
The white stone column fence with the rails in it ,reminded me of the concrete wall at Adelaide International Raceway
Didn't that make a superbike-racer a paraplegic in the mid 80s? Neil Henderson (or somesuch). Yucko.... That was in our (then) premium race series too.
So, Moikel O'Connaugh, you'll be makin' a return to the home country next year and comin' to the NW200 on 12 May, no doubt. Koind regards Davey Milligoon
Yes I vaguely remember some bike rider hitting the wall ,his heart stopped and they revived him on the spot ,but he was a parapalegic after the accident . Can't recall his name. Haven't lived there for 26 years ,do they still run bikes on AIR?
Well I guess I asked for that . AIR = Adelaide International Raceway ,but I guess you knew what I meant.
Mallala is the SA "bike" track these days. Sadly it's had it's share of tragedies too (the death of Liam Magee for one). Neil Robinson is the name of the feller I was thinking about.
