.... and wipe a few smiles off other peoples' faces. ETZs aren't slow,
handle and brake surprisingly well ...

    They are ugly though.

It'd definitely make me smile (I have made slowness an art)
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder......
Nope, you're right, they are ugly.

Remind me again what kit you do have, that you feel better riding in?

I heard about it- but I have no bike tomorrow so it won't be me.

    Fieldsheer. And it's fantastic.

However, having seen the mess a minor bin made of Frag's brand-new
Dainese leather jacket, I'd be _very_ reluctant to rely on it myself.

Unfortunately, I can't as we're 'booked' for lunch. Which is a bit of a
bugger, as I wouldn't mind doing a last 'FOT before the move.
I dunno, really. The ETZ300 isn't any more ugly than most commuter bikes
    of it's era.

BTW: Anything I need to be aware of as it's been tucked away doing
nothing for 3 months? (Oh, and is it a bad thing that I forgot to turn
    off the petrol tap?)

I'll make a concerted effort to attend then. I'll be the one with the gay
    red boots.

The battery would probably benefit from a charge if it doesn't start
    readily.

As to the tap, probably not. In the unlikely event it's drained the
contents of the tank into the engine. Take out the plug and kick it over
a few times to clear the cylinder.

I'd rebuilt the fuel tap and, importantly, the carb so it should be fine.

Excellent, seems a few are interested, perhaps a roll-call later today might

Have you ever crashed in it?
<shrug> I've crashed twice (one of which you came across) in my Dainese
    jacket and leather trousers:
    Damage to me : 0.
    Damage to kit : 0.

I'm happy with the Dianese kit and when it wears out I will still consider
    it again.

Yes. On the CG. Just a small scuff on the shoulder.
You didn't see the damage caused when Frag binned his AT whilst wearing
    a Dainese leather jacket, then.

After that, I'd _never_ buy their kit.

Older Dainese kit isn't that bad, but the recently manufactured stuff is
    shite, IMHO of course.
