as it turns out: no, not me.
Loser.
Well my plans are wide open, after sacking off the SV boys to do a FOF, and now el darso has bailed. Define "later run" - I have all day tomorrow clear, V's off to the seaside with her sister. Bear, you still out to play, esp. if it's a later start?
Monday's do-able if I know the start & endpoints. The latter simply because I have no idea about typical speeds: I suspect I'm the average side of average.
Forecast looks a bit shit for Monday. I'll get a ride in while the weather's a known good quantity and think about a repeat performance if it cheers up for Monday.
A bit early for me too but I was going to make the effort to get my lardy arse out tomorrow So potentially up for whatever, wherever
I think we'll just get the bikes out and go for a blast on Monday rather than trying to stick to something along a planned route and meeting at an organised time. It'll probably involve riding around Beds, Cambs and Northants at illegal speeds and stopping for food and drink at some point. If anyone wants to email me a phone number I can either send them a text or phone them when we decide what we're doing but that'll only be when we get out of bed on Monday.
No it doesn't. I've had a great day wandering along the Thames drinking in numerous public houses, watching football then drinking more beer before getting home about 15 minutes ago.
You do realise I don't really worry about the weather if I want to ride my bike? I was out on the Yam last weekend and did 200 miles of which about 100 was in pouring rain and I actually enjoyed every minute of it.
I work every other weekend throughout the summer so if I've got an excuse to do a 200 mile round trip on a bike I'll take it. I'd feel differently if my waterproofs didn't work or if I had to ride a bike for a living but because it's for fun I make the most of it. I'll be out on the bike tomorrow but I couldn't do the walk along the Thames drinking beer and then watch a decent game of football tomorrow.
Which way did you go? I've done numerous crawls between Kew Bridge and Hammersmith but not spent much time on the river east of that.
It's just a machine, after all. I trust L enjoyed herself, even if she did spend have to the entire day perched on the back of an R1. Seems a nice girl.
