Last weekend the Canadian Bike Building Championships were held a
little ways north of here in Olds Alberta. A few of us decided it
would be a decent way to kill and afternoon so we took in the show.

The ride north was great, the weather terrific, the food was lousy and
there were some very interesting bikes.

If you would like to waste ten minutes or so looking at a lot of gaudy
chrome, the following link is for you.

I guess the most expensive piece of art I own is painted on the trunk
    lid of my bike.

No one could call that Cowboy Fucking a Dog while on the Back of a
    Horse hideous. <g>

Most of those bikes were definitely lawn ornaments but it was still an
    interesting afternoon.

I see Strokers of Dallas had a few of there bikes out there. The one
with all the multi colors and crap painted all over it is on display
in there store. I have seen it many times. Those were some wicked
looking bikes but I dont see how a person could ride one of those
    choppers very far.

Well to me they are an art form. Not necessarily one that appeals to
me, but art none the less. For the most part they couldn't be ridden.

Those types of Bikes are for riding from ''Stop Light'' to ''stop
    Light''

For that reason they are extraordinarilly COOL. You, me, any of us would
sound like a Fool if we claimed we would not want one'' (thats a fact

As usual Bjay you certainly do not speak for me, and possibly a few
    others around here.

If I had one of those bikes given to me, the first thing I'd do is put
it up for sale and use the money to buy a bike that fits my style much
better. So that said maybe I do want one, the same way I want a
serious upwards bump in my investments.

If you take a close look at many of those customs they have near zero
ground clearance which means anything but a flat turn would be
    impossible.

ahhhhh, you would if you could afford one.
    Like Jay Leno.

If I could I'd own a variety of Bikes, even consider owning a Harley,
now that is serious. Like I said If I Could Afford it.

Riding one of them customs, is for cruizing around town, and acting like
Captain America. (Peter Fonda in that great Movie)

I'd even like to own a TRIKE, Spike, oh I meant to type Sport.

Given an unlimited disposable income would I own multiple bikes? Yes.
Would any of them be an unridable chrome lawn ornament? No.

I would have thought someone as wise as you would understand people
have different buttons that get their juices flowing.

One size does not fit all. Nor is one man's opinion shared by
    everyone.

Well, Donald,I was ''playing with ya''.

Of course we all are different, in our ''priorties, likes and disLikes''
    about stuff.

For instance, you apparantly don't like to wear do.rags, Leather, and
all the other ''wannabe Biker garb''. and I do. Along with about 90% of
the riders who show up at Rallys, who seem to like wearing that stuff.
    <g>

Don guess what. I am in the market for a PreOwned 1200 Sporster. I
always seem or manage to have 2 or more motorBikes. I sold my 98Magna,
    just the otherday.

I like having a ''sport'' like Bike around. The Magna was that type.
    Nothing on it.
I slighty thought about Brians ''Hurricane''.

I have never owned a harley.

Nonetheless, lately I've had the ''hankering'' for one. But not a big
ol' Harley. I saw a goodlooking Sportster the other day, and it made
    me want one.

I still say, most Guys would like having a unique ''Sure Nuff Custom''
Bike in the Garage,---(along with their ''real Ride'' mind you)-- to
ride around town, and get some ''looks'' from the wimmens. That sorta
    thing, know what I'm sayin'

Don, you might be right..‘‘it could be one of them Texan thangs''.

I am on the look out for a good deal on 'uh HD Sporty, though. I'll find
    one, I'm a good shopper.
