So, I've got myself a Norton Commando and generally I'm pretty pleased
    with it.

It's got a 12" floating disk fitted, along with a big AP Racing caliper
and a stainless line. Not as good braking performance as I'd expected
though, so I bled it out and what a change. Now it stops, but also the
bike veers a little on hard braking...

Seems this is not unusual, and Commandos with uprated brakes tend to
need a fork brace, wherein lies my question. The only one I can find
listed is a Norman Hyde product, which at £169 is a tad
pricey...anyone know of a supplier of something (like Telefix, for
eg.) that is a bit more competitively priced?

  2. The Telefix stylee ones don't grip the fork sliders hard enough to make
much difference; if they did, they'd probably cause the sliders to bind
    on the stanchions.

Ultimate source ones ( like this
http://bikes.sjbmw.com/images/parts/73_sm.gif ) work, and there used to
be a company making them for other bikes; I had one on the Le Mans.

Can't remember where I got it from, though...
