It would make a good sidecar tug. You'd need to ditch the Art Deco
    bog seats, mind.

"aswell" is usually two seperate words as well. Also, the lower case
"i" in his "HPi" set my teeth on edge.

    Horrible bike.

I love the "minor detail" that in addition to whatever the bike goes
for on ebay, there's £2500 of finance to pay off. As well.

And "Minor infractions: The engine management light is illuminated all
the time" seems to me to be completely contradicted by " * Work/jobs
    required: None!".

Yes, that made mye raise an eyebrow, too.

""Hpi Status: Clear on all registers, although there is approximately
    £2500 of outstanding finance."

  11. He's a dealer and he's refusing a warranty because of the supercharger.
Think again, matey - TS might have something to say about that.

I think you are a bit confused. A used vehicle warranty is usually an
insurance based product that enhances any rights you have under the Sale of
Goods Act, provided at additional cost after the original manufacturer's
    warranty has expired.

The seller cannot wriggle out of any obligations unde the SoGA but when a
used bike is sold with a clearly identified defect then the buyer has no
redress if that fault leads to a major failure. Anyone buying that bike
with the engine management light illuminated is an idiot.

  14. Yes, and as a dealer he cannot sell a bike for that wodge of cash with
    no warranty. 90days min, iirc.

  16. Fucking goalposts moved again. Cunts.
I recall the hoohah when it was introduced, back when. Traders HAD to
give a minimum period of warranty.

Not unless they specify and make the advert very clear it's a trade
sale with no warranty given or implied. If that's the case, the buyer
is always made aware that this applies and it appears on the (signed by
    both parties) receipt.

I don't see a problem. If the buyer wants a warranty, buy a different
bike or use a different dealer - it's not fucking rocket science.

FWIW, the guy who is selling that bike is a well respected trader in
these parts, and gets through a fair amount of high quality bikes with
warranties. Gyp bought his Hyabusa from him, and that is an absolute
gem of a bike. He pointed out exactly why he won't give a warranty, so
if anyone buys it then it's down to them - the trader has been as
honest as he can in every way.

  18. Ok, if you say the guy's genuine, then fine.
Even so, saying he's not giving a warranty is fucked up, imo. If he's
asking that much for it, he's taking the piss - and if he's not that
sure of the thing he shouldn't have taken it in part-ex or bought it at
    auction, whatever.
If he removed the supercharger, sold it as an accessory bundled with the
bike then the buyer fitted it and blew up the engine, then fine. Tough
    shit.

You missed this part of the auction listing then

"I would usually settle any outstanding finance myself prior to
offering a bike for sale, however on this occasion I am selling the
bike on behalf of one of my customer's"

It's not his bike, he doesn't have top offer a warranty even if it
isn't a trade sale. It won't be going through his books and he's not
responsible, he's just an agent putting buyer and seller together.
