For those that wonder about ABS

I had the chance to test it today.

On the way to work today, going at a reasonably quick speed on a dual
carriageway, I noticed a Chelsea Tractor come in from a side road onto
the carriageway. Not a problem I thought as I moved into the outside
    lane.

The stupid **** decided to cut across and move into the outside lane
at a pitifully slow speed. I tested my ABS as I swerved around his
passenger side and a scooter just managed to squeeze past the gap
between the outside lane and the crash barrier, whilst a TDM rider
behind me, had brown trousers and managed to stop behind the Tractor.

I was quite pleased with the ABS though, as it slowed me down really
quickly and smoothly. One thing I did remark is how the events
actually passed very quickly but I remember the whole incident in
    quite a lot of detail.

My only Q though is why are bike horns woefully inadequate?

There's possibly a case to be made for linking horn and main beam to ABS
activation, and possibly some sort of amplified swear-bot.

    If you're thinking of me, then I don't need a swear-bot. I did very
    well myself, TYVM.

Can we get said swear-bot to offer a few hand gestures at the same time?

I have to say, I *really* like your idea. btw

Got one on the big blue trike.
Great it is - only downside is the size. Although not large, as horns go,
it's a tad big for some bikes.

I was doing that too. Mind you, I think I screwed up on that, as the French
don't really recognise the V sign as an insult. It's just more natural to
me than the one fingered salut.

    Bugger.
    Quite.

You mean the buggers have forgotten about Agincourt?

According to St Stephen of Fry, there's absolutely no proof to back
    that story up.

True. It was a Victorian romantic invention.
