I stuck my bike in the gravel at Brands Hatch again yesterday. At
Clearways this time - and I messed up the other side of the fairing.

You may now point and laugh.

I was thinking of you when it started pissing down. I'm going tonight?

    Why did you bin it?

He already said. The other side of the fairing needed sorting.

Going round the outside of a slightly slower rider (what I often did in the
slow group, but I'd moved up to inter / fast). He ran a bit wide, I got
edged out onto the grass, felt the wheels starting to slip, managed to get
it upright and went straight on into the gravel. As before, made it about
30m in, before the front wheel buried and spat me off.

A few scuffs and a couple of small cracks in the fairing - nothing I'm
particularly bothered about, and was back on the track once I'd cleaned out
    the gravel.

Definitely need a new lid now though - 4 bins in this one is pushing it a
    bit.

No point in getting it done properly - I'm sure I'll bin it again at some
point. Going to patch it up myself - see my other post about home fairing
    repair.

  6. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember (Monkey)
    saying something like:
Not good enough, matey; I want to see injuries... merely dumping it in
the gravel isn't any reason for humour.

Got a big bruise on my left foot, if that counts. Not exactly sure what bit
    of the bike that clobbered.

    Will try harder next time.

Good man. Broken bones, preferably. Nothing too life threatening, just a
    radius or tibia will do.

Veggie Dave will cross you off his Christmas Card list unless you
start picking up some proper injuries soon.
