    Blimey, ever heard of tinyurl?

God, that little red Guzzi is *gorgeous*. Never seen anyhting like that,
but the proportions, styling, everything, are just so right.

You utter Philistine, know-nothing, terminally blind, tasteless,
unappreciative, imbecilic representative of the great unwashed. How dare
    you.

    <Looks again>

It does, a bit, doesn't it?

    There's a 1952 BMW single at one of the dealers I visit. It's a
beautifully made piece of machinery, and far far better thought out and
built than any British bike of the period. The rear mudguard hinges
upwards to allow wheel removal, there's a reverse gear for sidecar use
and the ignition key is a work of art.

I'll take some photos next time I'm there.

You're missing my point. BMW stopped any further design work in 1953.

There was one similar on ebay a couple of weeks ago. I forget what it
    went for, though.

I don't know if it is, I'd forgotten that you'd seen it too. Next time
I'm in there I'll ask Doug if there's a price tag on it.

Eh? It's got the same affliction as MZs - a front mudguard fitted by
hurling it at the bike from a great distance, & hoping it ends up
    somewhere near the front wheel.
