    Any horror stories?

I'm looking at doing their July 13th session at Donington. It's a 98db
day but that's not an issue as the exhaust is road legal and it's 50
quid cheaper than a full noise day.

I just did one, a bit disorganised with no food available. No scutineering
at all, just a speech by a fat bloke. The stickers are incredibly hard to
remove, so put 'em out of sight.

How much is it Ben? If Jordan bikes in Leeds are doing it, they get a block
    booking & it's a good bit cheaper.

That's the fault of the track rather than FE.
Mind you, the diner was never anything other than adequate!
I've never been to a trackday that does check your bike.
The onus is on the rider to ensure their bike is in a suitable
    condition.
That'll be Kev. He can be extremely patronising!

Also, I've done at least one day with Focussed Events and I thought
    they were pretty good.

As Ant says, the food situation is down to the circuit[1]

[1] I've never been to any circuit where the food was any better than
    3.5/10.

Any food is preferable to none at all.

The car days I've been on have just been a burger van near the pit lane
    - but it saves having to take food with you.

Snetterton and Cadwell both have "canteen" style "restaurants", which
are pretty grim, but miles better than the dog-burger van that I had
to put up with at Lydden Hill.

    Ah, just the man.

I recall you saying when you were in Fuerteventura, you stayed in
Corralejo and did a trip with Backtrax.

How did you get to/from Calete de Fuste (or whatever) for the day? Hire
    car? Bus? Taxi? Spaceship?

Hope so, I've booked a holiday in Fuerteventura just to do it. Waiting
for details back from them atm, response within 24 hours my arse.

Aha. Haven't booked transfers yet so a hire car may be an option.

    Ta.

If I haven't heard anything back from them by Tuesday I'l give them a
bell when I'm WFH on Wednesday. It'd be taking the piss a bit to phone
    them from work.

I had hoped to catch a view of the American Star but I understand it's
pretty much gone now so that's off the menu. I've never done off-road
riding so the easier it is, the better. I'm only over for a week but if
I can get the ride in early, I might try and go back for a more fruity
tour later in the week. All depends what they come back with really.

I think we've used the same kind of thing when going to Sardinia - all a
bit random but works out in the end. We've only booked the trip two
weeks in advance (not sure we even have accommodation sorted yet,
flights were the priority) so it's a bit of a rush job. I'll leave it to
    the organising committee.

Any recommendations for places to eat in Corralejo?

Most of the places around the harbour are good. If you wander down away
from the harbour, with the sea on your left & restaurants on your
right, the last one you come to (a bit on its own with lots of glass
walls) is superb, if a tad expensive. If you like the 'tourist
entertainment' thang, head inland one street & there's a small square
    surrounded by restaurants.

The Rock Cafe on the main drag's good for post-dinner pissups. Really
good house band, with an excellent Argentinian guitarist (Gustavo) &
    reasonably cute Swedish singer.
