I'm planning a cross-Europe trek in either April or May to the Czech
    Republic.

My plan so far is to get the ferry from Hull to Rotterdam, take a trip up to
Amsterdam, get some supplies, visit the Anne Frank house and then meander
towards Czech over the next few days.

Due to geography this means most of the trip will be across Germany, but if
    anyone has any recommendations..

My destination in Czech is here -

    lat=50.8473840293, lon=15.0397660

You're going to see a tree? Nice.

How about Brno? Nice place, lots of students. Much cheapness.

Prague is nice too. But double the price of everywhere else in CZ. If
you do go to Prague, check out "Darlings". It's a laugh and a half.
    Take lots of money.

Accompanied by the sound of a chisel on slate
I go to Prague quite often, I've got friends there. I'm off to Liberec this
time because I like it :)

The tree is where I stay..

If you're going to the Czech Republic as a WW2 place then a better name
might be the "Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia". You can visit the
location in Prague where Reinhard Heydrich was assasinated, at the tram
stop in the curve near Bulovka hospital.

Other WW2 places to visit are the concentration camp Theresienstadt,
the village of Lidice (destroyed in German reprisals) and Oskar
Schindler's home town of Zwittau, Moravia (aka Svitavy).

I'm going to CZ because I'm visiting friends there, but I'd not thought of
    the tram stop, ta!
Lidice is on the itinerary, and I've got to meet up with someone in Zwittau
anyway but I didn't know that was where Schindler was from so that's a
    bonus.

Berlin and Zittau are also on the list... Gonna be a busy week this.
