That wouldn't be the case in this household. The Mother of Them All
came from a large family of a type that is now a closed chapter in our
social history. Anniversary piss ups and pressy exchange was a regular
    event.

I did that once but apparently she already had a pair of marigolds and
it ended up costing me a new mug for me tea and a frock. I liked that
    mug.

Also worth pointing out that there would be regular occasions throughout
the year when items needed by the household could magically appear. His
and hers exchange in March, blokish tools on empire day, bitches stuff
around Halloween, all sorts of shite at Christmas. It simply don't
happen any more and frankly I miss it.

Yebbut I also brought them up to **** off and stay out of my way and
    they have. Bless them.

Lady Nina secured a place in history by writing:
I'm really pleased to have one, it's a delight to have a great relationship
with at least one of your parents. I introduced her to the national
Growing Old Disgracefully network 10 years ago via a Guardian article and
she's never looked back....but she was pretty cool beforehand anyway....
Choice? It's virtually compulsory in Texas....
Probbly not a bad idea at all.....
