I know how you're supposed to put dairy/milk on a shelf if that helps.

That's hardly a 'typical' size of image for most cases though, is it? :)

Atm Social services, though I've been through the housing, education
and inner city development bits as well. Councils and various NGOs.
And been a paid version of sweller though with teachers, not trains.

In fact if it is welfare/community related its 90% certain I've done
it. Everything from data analysis and input to project management. I
should sell out and go and earn silly money but unfortunately (or not)
I've never quite shaken off the 'people before profit' ethos. Right
now I know I need a change but I've no idea in what direction so I'm
merrily (or not) temping until I get a moment to put my careers
advisor hat on and sit down and work out what I actually want to do.
Which is mainly be around for the kids, hence working part time.
The job is temporary. Though I'm not sure I can hack another 4 weeks
of complex child protection cases. Doesn't do my view of humanity a
    lot of good.
I think it is now so entrenched in the training and internal review
processes that it is here to stay. Today I've been drafting a report
on the uptake (and what was wrong with take up ffs?) of services by
ethnic minorities. In it I've presented data on the high proportion of
disabled children in the Asian community. Studies have suggested inter
family marrying (mainly cousin to cousin) is producing genetic
defects. I'm waiting for some twonk to shout racism.

Can I borrow yours? I've got the church obsessed, bikes are dangerous,
sex outside marrigae is bad, laments over where it all went wrong with
me version. Incapable of or unwilling to undertake independent
thought. I'd really like to have a cool mum :( At least my two can be
embarrassed about and ashamed of me for all the right reasons.
They really have no idea. Maybe we should send Phil out on an
    evangelising mission.

Actually tackling obesity is where the funding will be going in the
future. Maybe it is time to morph into a 'life skills' advisor.

Well, I've build 2 PCs this year.

Not an expert, just speaking from experience with playing about with
digital photos on a computer that's short of drive space.

    Antoine says...
Windows only does that because it assumes that if you have more memory
you're going to do more stuff.
Not necessarily if you add 512MB of memory to your system and run exactly
the same stuff then you could cut the page file down by 512MB which would
give you the same amount of VM space you had before.

Well, yes. It is a good approximation of what a SO Win98 box would have
to do with a standard image though. I just thought that there were lots
of opinions flying around and no measurable data. <sigh>

Impossible to tell IMHO. Photoshop will need to maintain not just the
original image but also a display image, undo buffers and other such
stuff. How much of photoshop was paged out before you loaded the image
and how much was paged in to allow the image to be loaded. How much
memory has the OS set aside for the free and modified page pools etc...

In trouble if he wants me to sew. At the Black Horse if he wants a
roast dinner. On the sharp end of neat TCP if he hurts his knee.
