My grandad was RAF, there's the 39-45 Star, Africa star, Defence Medal,
plus the usual 'good conduct and long service' medal and one I can't
identify because it's not marked in any obvious way as to what it's for.

The old boy was mainly stationed on Malta for most of the war.
