    I've crossed from Portsmouth to Bilbao several times and never been
    bothered by the sea getting rough. I'd be concerned about the Pride of
    Bilbao though because I fixed the engines and I never could suss out
    why every so often the whole boat seemed to shudder for no reason. I
    blame the Germans because it had a re-fit in Hamburg.

    I wouldn't use P&O, 'cos their ship on the Spanish route is old and slow
    compared with the Pont Aven - although the Pont Aven appears to be a bit
    unreliable.

    Blame the Germans again.
