    They're the boys, indeed.

Having dealt with the 'other side' of this sort of problem (responding
to complaints from neighbours) and trying to help resolve the issues,
I can categorically state that eggboxes in this context are no fucking
    use at all.

The majority of the noise from a machine like this will be low
frequency and lots will be sensed as vibration through the structure.
You need mass to absorb/deflect LF sound; and lots of it. To lose a
low frequency thrum entirely, you would need (for example) a wall of
dense concrete blocks, thicker than the wavelength of the sound.

I'd stick the machine in and then assess the potential annoyance, tbh.
Yet better, go and see it running where it is at present and put your
ears to good use. You may be pleasantly surprised - but be aware that
very low frequencies can produce a 'standing wave' of surprising
amplitude a surprising distance from the source.

Your best bet, IMHO, is to isolate the beast from the floor and the
structure - using proper isolation mounts. Mount it far enough from
the wall to allow construction of a block wall between machine and
wall if deemed necessary following assessment once installed - leave a
cavity between blocks and existing wall for additional attenuation and
ensure that there are no gaps whatsoever in either wall.

Don't forget the ceiling, which may require underdrawing with possibly
isolated or suspended absorbent sheet materials to prevent the roof
acting like a diaphragm and becoming a huge sounding board.

Suck it and see first, though - you never can tell.
