I don't do SOCs normally. I have no idea about their values.

However, an elderly relative has decided that it is time to stop driving.
She only did 200 miles in the last 12 months.

So, the car is a 1999 X reg Ford Escrote Finesse, 1.6 petrol. Blue and with
a genuine 13,100 miles. Some scratches on the corners as she obviously used
the Land Rover owner's parking technique. 12 month MOT. Some tax. Newish
    battery.

    Parkers says A1 £1755. Poor £1085. Trade in 1480.

Ebay shows just how undesirable the car is. Most recent auctions have
failed to attract any bidders. This similar one made a grand

    What's it worth?

Does anyone want this pile of crap? Make an offer. Located in Monmouth if
    you want a look.

  4. Whatever someone will pay, I guess... don't underestimate ebay though,
as that has covered an exceptionally low mileage, and regardless of
the fact it's a Dagenham Dustbin, the last Escorts are still quite
popular with some perverts out there - any idea of how well serviced
    she's kept it?
Your best bet is get some pics sorted and then stick it up on ebay...
if it doesn't attract any serious bids, (but I think it will with that
low a mileage, regardless of the scuffs), you can then look into
direct offers etc... but as I say I don't think it will come to that -
someone will offer well over a grand for that on ebay.

Up until it was about 5 years old it was MOT'd & serviced by a Ford agent.
I assume they sold her an annual service due to the low mileage. They
ceased trading and the site is currently being developed as a Lidl.

For the last 2 years, and 1000 miles, it was looked after by a neighbour. I
think he maybe did more miles in it than her.

I'll have a chat with her tomorrow. See if she will accept the Parker's
poor price, which is just over a grand, then stick it on Ebay with an
    appropriate starting price.

If all else fails, you can have it for the £801...paging Cane

  7. Get some pics whilst you're there and then you can show the likes of
us / shove it on eBay.

Oh, and it was 851. ;-)

She, my aunt, is rather poorly. Couldn't get much sense out of her today on
the phone. I'll perhaps pop around there tomorrow to check on her. I'll try
to remember the camera and also rifle through her receipts to see what
    service history it has.
