FOAK: SKY TV/Internet/Phone

My business partner is considering changing from Freeview/Tiscali/BT
to a SKY package. He's not worried about the TV aspect but wonders if
the broadband is any good.

Over to you lot.

 

Mine works and hasn't faltered in ~two months. loads of shite Sky channels,
line rental, free phone after 6pm and weekends and 1.5mb broadband (all I
can get here) for £33/month. S'alright.

I've been on the £10/month version for at least 6 months, it's OK -
had a couple of half hour dropouts that resolved without me bothering
to place a support call.... get 14 meg downloads.

 

It's money you don't have to pay to BT. Not directly anyway, and BT charge
you more if you don't pay by DD, and even more if you don't use them for
calls.

 

Only 2? I'm not sure I'd cope with that:

Recently did a customer satisfaction survey, and was asked to rate how
important the "unlimited being unlimited" factor of the connection was.
Which was nice.

 

been fine for me. worked out of the box. don't use the install CD
though but I suspect that might have been something on my system.

one day i'll sort out the fact I still have sky as a home page and
cant change it.

Don't forget their email is all done through Google (so its all online,
read through the web, fine if you like that kind of thing) and they
have no newsgroup access.
