I finally got hacked off with the soggy brakes on the GTS and pulled out the
7 feet of stock brake hose. Its been replaced with a nice shiny Brembo
remote reservoir radial master cylinder and HEL brake line.
Question is the mounting of the reservoir - does it need to be on the same
plane as the lever , above it or can I get away with mounting it below the
    lever?

    Ta muchly

The only bikes I have looked at closely with remote reservoir master
cylinders seem to have mounting brackets cunningly fashioned to ensure
that they are well above the cylinder.

Seems logical to me, but then these were French bikes so many will draw
    a completely different conclusion.

  3. ShiteOldBMWs had the reservoir under the petrol tank[1], connected to
the lever by a cable. Mind you, they didn't stop very well.

[1] As did the old Z1R.
