I know there's at least one Guernseyman on the group. Other non-EU
posters and or tax accountants may know!

How do I go about reclaiming VAT on goods bought privately in the UK for
export to Jersey (non-EU, VAT-free)? Do I need to get a form before
purchase? Will a VAT receipt do and get a form later? I've tried to JFGI
but all the hits I get are for businesses rather than private
individuals. Thinking (among other things) of a pair of BT20's fitted to
    the Pan.

I didn't use google. Any info about the government is generally available
using the http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/index.htm portal. Much easier to sift
through the data than trying to navigate a Ministry's own website.
