I did this late last year, upgrading a machine with 2 x 128Mb of PC800
RAMBUS by adding 2 x 256Mb of the same. Cost me ?75 in total from eBay
which was nearly half the nearest price I could find for new RAM from
online sources. Does the job so I'm happy enough.

    Here's an example auction:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=172&item=673935
    8473&rd=1

You need to keep in mind that you must add the memory in matched pairs
of RIMMs, plus mixing ECC and non-ECC RAM isn't recommended.

I had similar trouble trying to return a graphics card last year.
Eventually phoning seemed to get things moving, be prepared to spend
an hour or so listening to on-hold music. So in short, cheap to buy
    from but crap after sales.

You will search their website in vain for a phone number, tho.

They (no longer) offer phone support. I have their number, but the
recorded voice demands that the caller enters the surname of the
person they wish to speak to via their phone keypad. I have a numeric
string for this purpose, but the droid has either changed their name
    or place of employment.

Here's a lovely quote from their site:

" We'd like to apologise for the delay in answering our customers. Due
to Christmas we have a backlog in eNotes which we appreciate is really
frustrating for our customers. In order for us to deliver the
excellent Customer Support you expect and deserve we are improving our
own technology and recruiting the best Customer Support Agents to
    assist you.

We'd like to thank you all for your continued patience and advise you
that our current backlog is 7 business days. In order for us to
respond to you as quickly as possible we ask that our customers
refrain from sending duplicate eNotes "
