    Any brands to avoid?
Are genuine Suzuki friction plates better than EBC?
    Can I still get asbestos?

  2. In my experience of EBC and Redline clutches, OE plates are best but
    pattern springs are fine.

It's not like OE clutches are expensive anyway. Might as well go OE if
it's only a matter of a few quid.

  3. Ah, yes, I admit I was thinking traditional Japanese multi-plate jobs.
With BMWs, it's also the hassle of getting at the bloody things.

"Hier, Fritz, das ist ein batteie und ein clutch. Build zer motorrad
around zem. Und make certain to use ein scheisse-load of fasteners mit
    zer unusual sizes und kopfs."

  4. Oh, right. I'm losing my mind. That is an outrageous sum for something
    that doesn't actually work.
    Not much....

I fitted an aftermarket clutch basket and Barnett clutch pack + springs
to the 900ss last weekend. I now need to take it all apart again to
re-assess the stack height, as the clutch operation is currently, erm,
    optional.

  6. It's a Ducati dry clutch. Of more use as a baby's rattle than a means of
    transmitting power.
