IANAE but the plant is ragwort and the caterpillar is from the cinnabar
    moth

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinnabar_moth

    I used http://www.whatsthiscaterpillar.co.uk/plates.htm and plate29 to
identify the moth. The plant was obvious as it is a poisonous weed familiar
to anyone who has been involved with animal husbandry.

  4. Say potato often enough and you'd go insane. Try mulling over the word
    'potato' for half a minute.

I feel a sudden urge to wear a bandana and ride a motorcycle with an
    antiquated engine design...

It's Ragwort, a real nasty little bastard weed which seriously fucks up
horses. The caterpillar is a cinnabar moth caterpillar, wot eats it.
