I have this bridge...
Im not paying more than ,460,000. And you can deliver.
Speakers are not digital though and quality of cable will have a noticable effect on the sound quality. This degradation makes itself more audible over longer runs of cable. You hit 30m and you start needing a lot of copper oxygen free or not. However there is no point in getting super-high-tech oxygen-free quark-enriched bi-wireable super mutts nuts cable for a goodmans home hifi. However if you have just spanked 20 big ones on a set of speakers you are unlikely to string them to the amp with some second hand doorbell wire nicked from the neighbours flat. Well you might, but most people...? [1] [1]N.B didn't forget the smiley.

Depends on your definition of high end really. Undoubtedly some people spend silly money, but then I know loads of people that think *I* spend silly money, and for most values of 'audiophile' my kit is strictly mid range. -- Catman MIB#14 SKoGA#6 TEAR#4 BOTAFOF#38 Apostle#21 COSOC#3 Tyger, Tyger Burning Bright (Remove rust to reply) 116 Giulietta 3.0l Sprint 1.7 GTV TS GT 3.2 V6 Triumph Sprint ST 1050: It's blue, see. #www.cuore-sportivo.co.uk

I've always found them to be generally expensive, with the occasional good value gem. The reason they still get occasional business from me is that they are fairly ubiquitous on the high street for the times I need something and need it now, and they're not DSG
They used to do RG45 connectors 10 forra quid, now they're individually packed at a quid each times change

Do you? Care to share the knowledge with the rest of us? My understanding is that figure-8 cable is best, with a resistance of <5% of the speaker impedance. And anything else is just snake oil.
werrrrl *suck teeth* It's not actually a resistance is it, it's an impedance. But how much of that is audible is another matter. -- Catman MIB#14 SKoGA#6 TEAR#4 BOTAFOF#38 Apostle#21 COSOC#3 Tyger, Tyger Burning Bright (Remove rust to reply) 116 Giulietta 3.0l Sprint 1.7 GTV TS GT 3.2 V6 Triumph Sprint ST 1050: It's blue, see. #www.cuore-sportivo.co.uk
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ That was the first CD I bought. Still prefer the original CD version to the later 'soundtrack' one.
Really? The DVD 5.1 is stunningly good IMHO. -- Catman MIB#14 SKoGA#6 TEAR#4 BOTAFOF#38 Apostle#21 COSOC#3 Tyger, Tyger Burning Bright (Remove rust to reply) 116 Giulietta 3.0l Sprint 1.7 GTV TS GT 3.2 V6 Triumph Sprint ST 1050: It's blue, see. #www.cuore-sportivo.co.uk
That's been my experience too. I used to buy guitar and mic plugs (XLR and 1/4" jack) at Maplins coz they had a wide range at good prices, but - like the RG45 connectors - they stopped doing "bundles" of plugs and went to individual pack costing the same as the bundles used to cost. Same with electrical connections for wiring looms on cars. Bullet and spade connectors were good quality and cheap, but now they're bloody expensive. I've been getting connectors like these from Clas Ohlson in Insjon in Sweden for a while, but they're recently opened up a place over here, so they're next on the list.
