    Right finally had these delivered
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Good-Quality-...oryZ9943QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
    (hopefully that link works)
Anyway set of size 44/54 leathers, some scuffing on one "rump" but all good
and not too gay for less than 50 notes.
Anyway, bugger it, they're too small. So that'll be back on fleabay
    probably.
Now when i say too small, they are peel off and on, I can get in, cant get
the zip done up, tight between crotch and shoulders etc.
Now, Im thinking that the sensible thing is to buy 2 sizes bigger, ie euro
58 which is usa 48 but this is two sizes bigger, and im worried that it
might be too much the other way, so before splashing out more cash im
wondering if thats a valid guess from you lot that are experienced in such
    matters.?

IME the size on the label is just a guide. Even if supposedly buying the
same branded item made in a different batch. Once you go to a different
brand the variations are even wider. The item might have one common
dimension but each manufacturer has a different idea about how a Euro 58
chest measurement relates to waist size, calf diameter etc.

Whilst I understand you are trying to acquire stuff cheaply, the best way
to get something that fits properly, and therefore comfortable for hours in
the saddle, is to spend time in a shop with a decent stock and an air
    conditioned changing room.

yours are a gb48 but didnt you also put they were euro 48 and USA 58?
Ive looked at a couple of sizing charts

http://www.harpersraceshop.co.uk/item438.htm shows the difference 'twixt usa
/ euro, basiaclly they are always10 units different but the other way round
from what youve got on your site, ie you put the usa size 10 higher than
    euro which is not possible?
    but then
http://www.motobrio.com/MotoBrio_SizingChart.cfm shows GB vs Euro sizing
which only tally number wise ever 4th or 5th size. However, the GB size
always tallies with the chest size so it looks like your right about GB48
being chest size but then that tallies with a Euro 60 according to that
chart so i wonder if they'd be slightly too large :-(
Course as Wessie's said, different sets in different batches could vary even
if the sizing labels are the same.

Hmm, yeah, rings a bell now you mention it.
I think this is the right one. Put it this way. Lozzo reckons we're about
the same build, and it's a good fit for me with a Clover "Ninja Turtle" back
protector on underneath. Even without it though, it's not too big.

Well put it this way: if you do want to try it and it doesn't fit, you can
feel free to return it and I'll refund you the cash minus the postage. How's
    that?

No it isn't. It's to go to see Graham at GLF in Flitwick for a nice set
of made to measure MJK leathers. It's incompatible with the first
point, but that's a far better way of getting something that fits
    properly.

I have seen Crowtrees and they are very good, I just have a preference
for MJK as I know Graham so well and they're on my doorstep.

Louth is a damn sight nearer me than MJK. Plus I never had to pay for
them. Now I just have to lose weight before March so I can get back
    into the bloody things...

I just walked into the shop, picked up a pair the correct size, tried
them on and then paid out the money. Less than half the price that GLF
wanted and if they'd needed any alterations it would still have been
    cheaper than made to measure.

I was told where to buy them by a reputable company that deal in made
to measure leathers as well as off the peg. The guy said he couldn't
match the price and if they needed altering they'd still be a bargain
so off I went to see what was in stock.

If you can get good leathers at a much reduced price then it's cheaper
to buy them and get them altered. Paul lives within 20 minutes of the
best place I know for repairs and alterations and it isn't GLF.

I'd be going over to Northampton to see what Dobbs have in store
because at least if anything needs altering they do it in house.

I personally couldn't recommend GLF for M2M leathers. Mine have never
fitted me from day 1 and despite being sent back to be altered. I paid
over £600 for them and prefer my HG cordura kit.

it shows how much they didn't fit that having put a stone on in weight
the bottoms still fit easily. The same HG bottoms don't fit and I know
    which I'll spend money replacing.

I've had two experiences of leathers - one off the peg and one made to
measure. The m2m ones are far more comfortable and they fit better.
You've probably been through far more sets than I have, and I don't
know your friendly place, so you have somewhat of an advantage.

That any scoot or bike for that matter that can manage 1800 miles in a week
