I'm finally considering getting a mobile. Normally I borrow it from her
indoors, but she's more often than not, well, outdoors. I only need a
PAYG job with Orange, but I have no idea where to buy one (apart from
those high street shops, which I assume to phones are like PC World for
computers). I want to spend as little as possible but get something
fairly small and light. It does not need to have an inbuilt torch, PDA,
MP3 or anything. Just a basic address book and easy to use UI.

What to get and where to get it?

Not sure I would want to give you the number. It was bad enough when Iain
had his txt to email thing going. Although I could reciprocate I suppose.

orange sim you can have. email your address and I'll stick it in the post.

Strewth, that's extremely nice of you. Is that because you bought a new
phone and swapped sim cards over? How would I register it?

Its an old phone that has been superseeded about 4 times now. Its just
lying around taking up space. To register just follow the instructions in
    the sealed Sim pack.

  12. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Switters belched forth and ejected the following:
Have a look on the phones4u website. Last time I looked they had cheapo,
SIM free phones for less than thirty quid.
