Right. I left my Sony K750i in the van today, with the window open. And
today it's pissed it down, resulting in what looks like a dead phone,
although I'm drying it out. Anyway, does anyone know of a phone that's
    a) as capable as a K750i, with a 2MP camera (although I may be willign to
forgo a camera) and the ability to run opera mini
    b) more rugged than a K750i, as I spend a lot of time outdoors, falling in
ponds etc, though I could get round this with an aquasac thing.
    c) more reliable than a K750i - this one has been back several times to have
the joystick fixed, and to have dust and shite cleared from the screen, dust
and shite cleared from the camera lens etc, and now it's finally out of
    voda's warranty after 18 months.
    d) a screen that's readable in sunlight
    e) decent battery life, a la the K750i
    f) works with my Sony Ericsson bluetooth headset.
    g) preferably not a flip or slide phone, as I always seem to get shite in
    the mechanisms.

Any ideas? TBH I'd be willing to use my old Ericsson R310 if it weren't for
the fact that it doesn't have T9 text or the ability to run Opera... Another
Sony Ericsson would be nice as I'm used to the OS now.

Motorola F3[1]. £30 with... £10 credit, unlocked, replacement insurance,
expendable, plus you can see the screen in bright sunlight.

[1] Nice basic phone without all the bollocks.

Nokia 5500, 5140i, Siemens M65 (discontinued, but might still find one
    somewhere).

The 5500 is the standard issue works phone, and everyone hates them. Crash a
lot. The 5140 raises doubts about whether it'd be readable in bright
sunlight - the K750i is alright, but it was one of the first phones with a
TMR screen, so I doubt that has. And it lacks bluetooth. M65 might fit the
bill, but again, it doesn't look *that* much more durable than a K750i in
terms of water resistance etc. and the K750 is fairly impact resistant. I'm
beginning to think the answer may be a new K750i and a waterproof case for
when I'm at work or biking.

Already opened it, and got it in the airing cupboard. Seems pretty dry now,
but it won't start with the battery, won't start with the charger, but will
put on a red light. Going to leave it a few more days...
