Now shitting a pallet would hurt whether you had removed the nails or not.

I'm thinking of switching to a Virgin One/IFA.com stylee linked
mortgage. Any advice, caveats, recommendations etc that DOESN'T INVOLVE
FUCKING PAINT, SHITTING PALLETS OR WANKING BLOODY NON-LINKED MORTGAGES,
but is specifically related to linked mortgages?

Does the last 'T' stand for 'Torn'?

Shouldn't you be out having japes if you're on holiday?

Your home is at risk if you do not keep up repayments on a mortgage or
    other loan secured on it.

There are many benefits to having an SO who owns a cafe, one of which
is the van she's about to buy for the outside catering business. So
your towbar threats don't scare me anymore.

    Mwahahahaha

I don't know what you mean by "linked" as it's not linked to anything
other than the house, but I have a one account, it rocks.

Every month I see the number go down by a noticiable amount, in fact
I've cut my monthly outgoings too, just from being able to see
everything I spend on one screen.

Plus I'm now over 10 yrs ahead of my repayment date, which adds a
certain amount of comfort in these complicated times.

I don't regret changing over for one second.

Is it not linked to a savings account? That's what I meant, & what I
    thought the One Account did.

    Shitting pallets.

    ROFL.

Now that I've got to see! The thought of straining lumps of wood out
your arse is one thing, but the expression on ones face as the nails
    popped out of/into your ring.

Ouch, and /then/ there's the splinters!

    Yeeeoooooaaahhhh!

AFAIK, it can be linked to a savings accout and a current account.

I'm going to do it myself when I move house/next spring (whichever's
    soonest[1]).

    [1] next spring, most likely.

    On the one account, no..

It's literally one account, with a clever frontend that lets you show
your funds sliced up into different pots debts, savings, etc. Or at the
click of a mouse just the overall amount owed, with a graph of the past
few months incoming / outgoing funds..

    It's a fantastic system IMHO.

See my reply to darsy. It's *one* account that you can view however
makes best sense to you. The main advantage: every penny you have in
there cancels out the interest on your loans.
