Can you run two iPods off the same PC without them having to share the
    same playlists?

You might find it easier to set up different user accounts in windows
    for the different iPods.

It can be a fiddle tbh.

My bro-in-law has 4 running off his laptop - his own
and 3 for his sons. They all run under the same account
but are seen as having separate libraries and so on.

That's good news. The kids are getting them for Xmas and I wanted to
keep all the mp3 files centralized.

You'll have to import them into that iPod's library
each time, but if you've got them organised then
just point it at the upper-most directory and use
    the import folder feature.

As long as you don't use the "move music into
iTunes directory" option or store them as Apple's
own format, then you should be fine.

It's easiest if you turn off the auto-iPod-update feature and manually
move music between iTunes and the iPods.

Does anyone know how to create new libraries? At the moment I've got
both mine and Anya's albums in one library, but I'd rather have them
separate. At the moment I've set up 2 playlists, one with each of our
stuff on it, but that's not really ideal.
