FOAK: Honda NTV600/650 anything to watch out for?

    As subject, after the sad demise and recent removal of my 1986 CBX750 I'm
    hunting for a new bike. After something comfy & reliable, mostly for medium
    haul trips (100-300 miles) & RBR'ing but with occasional belting along
    trying to keep up with a mates Bandit 12 (which the CBX managed rather
    well).
    I've seen a couple of NTV600/650's on Ebay for moderate but widely varying
    amounts of dosh, unfortunatly I'd really like to try and spend under a
    grand, and have something that will last me a year.
    Just wondering if the font can point me at any pitfalls on this type of
    bike.
