    **** me a real biker !

Such a rare thing on these internetty type things populated by
    internetty type peoples.

Take heed you compooterati, sometimes it painfully hurts to be in the
right because it don't mean diddly squat if the other guy's wrong but
has slightly more mass/inertia than you do.

This is called MURDER, often confused with manslaughter and occasionally
reduced to driving without due care and attention.

You seek to inform your peer's that your Blackbird was "heavy, slow handling
    and low-powered machine" ?

Is that a Honda Blackbird you talk of?

If so you fail abysmally, not even an MCN tester could describe such a bike
in that manner, not even when its replacement is tested :)

I think of it more like the defensive player in a game of merkin

    Oh **** off ****.

Does "not being hit" not include being seen so as not to be hit. Or is
your world populated by people who see you but still want to hit you?

    Hmmm, maybe it is !

Perhaps the physics of your space & time continuum means that some
fuckers gonna skid off the road and crash into your bike parked in the
    garage.

Tried it again and Nope. Sorry, still reads that soemone's trying to
tell me that a Blackbird is a "heavy, slow handling and low-powered
    machine".

I could handle it if it was Roberts, Haslam, Sheene, Dunlop, Spencer,
Mamola etc but it isn't is it !

Some punter is telling me that a Honda Blackbird is "boring".

Stupid boy. It doesn't matter whether they see you or not. The trick
is to not be where they are going when they get there.

It would seem to me that you know very little about riding in general
and not just what is glibly called defensive riding.

You can wear all the Day-Glo vests and have all the lights in the world
flashing on the top of your head but if you think for a moment that
everybody has seen you then you will get hurt. Probably sooner rather
    than later.

If you always ride with the presumption that they haven't seem you then
you will always be right when you need to be.

A personal thing but over the years I reckon it has worked better that I
am right than I am seen.

Mostly no but in part yes.

Not in my universe no. If I lived at number 9 this could happen as he
is on a corner but not here no. There is a possibility that they could
do it, if they went up the bank on the other side of the road but I am
not sure the angle would be right for them to be able to skid and avoid
the railings at the same time. I think they might just end up rolling
as they came down the bank and not making it all the way to my bike.

Without a doubt it is going through one of it's better periods as a
spectator sport. The things they have done with salary caps and the
draft system have meant very balanced teams in the case of overall
skills. Stopping the Man U/Arsenal/open chequebook syndrome has done
    their game good.

Forgive me, although I'm fluent in several differant dialects of bullshit,
    yours escapes me.

Are you trying to say that your bike is immune to any form of damage caused
by a third party, or are you just aiming to top this months irrelevant
    posting list?

I'm sorry chap, but you don't get off so lightly.

Please explain to me, being a none compooterati I need this explaining in
easy to understand language, how I can possibly have misconstrued this
particular tangent you have (for some reason) created off of the original
    subject.

Is some fukwit trying to create the impression that a Honda Blackbird is a
    "slow handling and low-powered machine"?

If he isn't then my apologies, perhaps 'The Blackbird' and Gertrude are one
    and the same machine.

Perhaps Christopher Des Clayes, the infamous 'Bear', Sir.Tony, et al are all
    the same too?

Please explain, 'cos I'm confused !

Erm, well maybe you did !

So this post won't be followed untill way past most folks waking time then
    will it?

Nah ! This ain't about bikes or even the people that ride them, it's about
the compooterati and how they can upstage each over.

That or, as you mentioned to Bear, you are confused.

    I think the later.

Neither biker nor compooterati eh? My what a sad life you must lead.
Keep looking though I am sure you will eventually find someone to
    upstage.

My anology has always been the sheep and the sheepdog.

    Cages are sheep,
with the right attitude you can move them to your will,
however, once is a while one will get away or turn and try and bite/kick
    back
a good sheepdog will anticipate and avoid trouble

  18. CDC Used to ride a Blackbird.

What Gertrude is is in his .sig.

Further hints are €5/each, payable in advance.

Johannes - Furrin, and still understood what CDC was saying
