What ACAS is trying to tactfully suggest is workers should not make the assumption because they have a lawful right to 4 weeks holiday a year they are Ok to take it when it occurs to them ...... as in 'kin off for 3 weeks unannounced .... and that they should communicate their *preference* to go on holiday on -whatever- date.
