FOAK Dual phone sim?

Just bought me a new(er) car.
I asked the dealer if the stereo was bluetooth capable and he said "It's
better than that (Jim) it's full GSM capable!"
Wonderful, except that it needs a bloody sim in it! A bi like the old days
    of car-phones.
Rather than keep hoiking the sim out the pocket phone and jamming it in said
carfone, is there a way I can get my sim duplicated?
I've spoken to my operator O2 and I might just as well have been asking for
next weeks lottery numbers. Not much luck from Voda either.
I've looked at a cheap PAYG sim and diverting the incoming call, but that
    would cost a fortune.
Any suggestions of where one might find a "friend of a friend" that can
    duplicate said sims?
    TIA

    On business contracts only, though.

You cannot. SIM's use pretty serious encryption. An Israeli cracked it a few
years ago but I'm not aware of implementation outside Menwith Hill and GCHQ

    So it seems ;o(

It means that due to the silliness of the airtime cartels, most new car with
built in gsm/sat/audio systems are pointless. Having to have it's own sim
means that we are going back to the early days of car fones where you have
to keep diverting numbers and incurring massive expense.
    The airtime cartels love this!!

Agreed, but shirley , customer service/satisfaction would be a nice little
    bonus?
No sorry, I guess I was asking too much.

Hmmm. At a wild guess the second sim won't be a duplicate
as such but will be registered to the same phone number
as the first. So as far as the end user is concerned
    it is a duplicate:)

Having a phone built in to a car is just daft unless
'duplicate' (co-registered?) sims are readily available.
    Presumably will happen eventually.

Unlikely, bluetooth has pretty much finished that idea off.

All I wanted was the Bluetooth radio! but I ended up with an all dancing
    load of crap.
    And a bloody high price!
