Heh. Any runner beans in our garden would be long gone, it's so small.
What about the windows in the envelopes as well? Would they break down?

Whilst the other posts have been amusing, I'm "officially" not allowed
to burn stuff in my garden. I'd like to get a decent paper shredder
with a decent security rating too, for not a lot of money.

Funnily enough, you don't hear too much of identity theft on this side
    of the water.

Not sure what u mean by 'long gone' I'm talking about next years crop.
Dig out a good trench now, add water to the two boxes and then empty them
into the trench in the new year. Back-fill with soil and sow/plant next
year's beans on top. The windows will break down eventually (windows
always breaks down eventually!), but then they don't contain any
confidential info! Basically, anything that ever lived can be composted.

Interesting thought. I can see things getting a bit 'out of hand' though.

Plus, of course, I don't trust any of the cunts that are likely to turn up.

It was a joke. Any running at all in our garden means you are
immediately out of the garden. Move along. Nothing to see.
I didn't know the windows ever lived. I thought they might be plastic [1]

[1] Yes, I know. It did live and will break down eventually.

I know... was thinking of my needs ;) Actually I think there is a cheaper
solution: Activate the option of having everything by e-mail in nice PDF's.

Of course, then you have the problem of when you need identification
(including 2 bills) or something like that.

Yes, you can scan manually all your docs, save them in a USB stick and then
    format it.

In Argentina they burn all the office paper at the end of the year, which is
    a nice solution.

Print, go round some office and have an "official" stamp on it. I did that
with the proof of payment of vehicle insurance, but now it is no longer
required as police officers can access a central database.

But to be honest in the last 5 years I needed... one or none proofs of
payment. I do my income taxes with a government emitted digital certificate
and the same tax agency website charges my bank account. Other taxes such as
vehicles or estate ownership are charged yearly to the bank account. In
Spain paying taxes is really simple and smooth :)
