I shall be looking at a new hat this weekend, the two I have in mind
are both flip front the first being Caberg Jutsimo and the second the
Lazer Revolution. Thoughts particularly in relation to those of us
lucky enough to have 4 eyes would be helpful. I know a lot hinges on
the shape of my head etc but how hae others found the performance of
both hats. The Caberg is significantly cheaper than the Lazer.

    TIA

    Lazer.. Waay cool. Ahem.

Have you looked at any Arai stuff? If you actually go to a bike shop, you'll
generally find the perpetual "Helmet sale" in full motion. You may well be
    lucky.

Arai don't make a flip, do they? The Shoei flip is a nice bit of kit but
    very expensive.

I bought a Caberg Justisimo a few months ago, and have been very happy
with it. The quality isn't up to my previous Shoei standards, but
    neither is the price.

Doh, I didn't read that bit...
Agreed. In fact, I can't really lecture on coolness, as I have one of those
Rayven things (A flip). Bought it for 7quid from a courier who was jacking
it in - only a month old. It's served me well though and looks reasonable
    enough in burgundy.

I've just got a Lazer Revolution and I'm well chuffed with it. Only
complaint so far is the stickers have peeled a tad at the edges and it
makes a wierd noise at certain head angles at around 30 m.p.h. Don't
forget to fork out for the fighter-pilot stylee breath deflector.

I looked at the Caberg Justissimo and compared to the Lazer it just
seemed flimsy and light. SWMBO has a full-face Caberg and it's OK for
    occasional use rather than day-to-day.

I found the cheapest place for Lazers was Graham at GLF
    (http://www.glfuk.com)

I've had a Lazer for around seven years now, & it rocks. The only
downside to it is the aperture isn't very wide, so you have to twist
your head further for life-savers than with some other helmets. I've
only got two eyes, but my brother has four & doesn't have any problems
    with his Lazer.

BUT... I wouldn't recommend one if you've got a sprot bike with a
fairly extreme riding position, unless you've got a rugby-players neck
    - they are very heavy. I don't notice the weight on the Tiger, but the
MV's a whole different tupperware container of marbles. I use a Uvex
Species on that, which is quite possibly the best helmet in the world,
    ever.

CHeck Google. There's been considerable mention of the Caberg at least
    this year.

I've got a Lazer and I like it a lot. I tried a Caberg and found that
the chinpiece actually hits my chin. I couldn't wear one.

    Buy the one that fits.

Flip-ups are noisy. You *will* need earplugs.

My Nitro F317-V isn't. It's the quietest helmet I've ever had and the
only one I've never needed earplugs in.

Thanks for all the ideas, comment, ssuggestions and tips. I am now many
pennies less wealthy but am awaiting the delivery by stork of a Lazer.
They didn't have my size in stock but will get it sent direct.

As someone recommended I went to GLF to get excellent service and
coffee etc from the gentleman Graham, and his glamorous assistant. Nice
    ride too.

    Thanks again
