I'm looking to get my cage aircon serviced.

    Does anyone have any recommendations?

National chains, or North West based specialists.

    Ta muchly.

  2. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Fr Jack belched forth and ejected the following:
Yes, if it's raining take an umbrella.
Regina make chains but I'd steer clear IIWY, they're fucking shit IME.

As I discovered, those things are a complete waste of money.

Better off paying someone to do it, because they'll do a proper leak and
pressure test - I chucked a can of the Halfords stuff in - it didn't
work, so I called out a specialist mobile guy who instantly decared,
with a wave of his probe, that we had a leaking pipe.

It's only about 60 quid to get a mobile guy to come to you - money well
    spent, IMHO.

I had mine done by a local geezer. He drained out the old, pumped in the
new, checked the pressure, ran it up with a temperature probe in the vent
etc, charged me about forty quid for the privilege.

  6. What he said - the Saab's aircon ran out of gas just before I was due to
sell it. System overhauled, complete recharge, lovely ice-cold aircon,
all for that sort of money.
